Colleagues from K5 elected to the governing bodies of the Professional Society MIDEM

At the General Assembly of the Society for Microelectronics, Electronic Components and Materials (MIDEM), held on 25 March 2026, members unanimously confirmed the election of new members of the society’s governing bodies for the March 2026–March 2029 term. Among those elected are also colleagues from the Electronic Ceramics Department (K5) at the Jožef Stefan Institute: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hana Uršič Nemevšek was elected Vice President of the society, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Danjela Kuščer Hrovatin was elected a member of the Executive Board, and Prof. Dr. Barbara Malič was elected a member of the Honorary Tribunal.

Their election is an important recognition of their professional, research, and organizational work to date, and it further confirms the active role of the Electronic Ceramics Department in the Slovenian and international community in the field of microelectronics, electronic components, and materials. The MIDEM Society plays an important role in connecting researchers, higher education institutions, and industry, as well as in organizing the international MIDEM conference.

We sincerely congratulate all three colleagues on their election and wish them every success in their new roles.
