ABSTRACT: This project is a proposal for continuation of ARRS support for the research of the electrocalorics which is crucial for development of new cooling technologies based on electrocaloric cooling elements. More

SIGNIFICANCE FOR SCIENCE: Research proposed in project, novel findings about the materials with giant electrocaloric  effect in organic and inorganic relaxor ferroelectrics, influence of the composition, critical points, finite grain size and surface effects on its magnitude as well as the dielectric, transport and elecromechanical properties and dependent aging of materials and break-down voltage can besides the advancement of our basic scientific field also significantly contribute to new scientific knowledge, to comprehension of basic scientific laws, to the development of applicative knowledge and novel technologies as well as to production of novel materials with enhanced properties. More

SIGNIFICANCE FOR SLOVENIA: This project opens not only a new research field in Slovenia, but its results can lead to new technologies and industrial branches. More
