Between 3^th and 5^th of October 2018, the 54^rd International Conference on Microelectronics, Devices and Materials with Workshop on Sensors and Transducers was held at the Jožef Stefan Institute. The conference was chaired by Asst. Prof. Tadej Rojac and Asst. Prof. Hana Uršič and organized by an international society MIDEM and SRIP Factories of the Future. The participants from seven European countries, North America and China contributed to the international scientific discussion. Prof. Dragan Damjanovic from École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland held the interesting plenary lecture on electromechanical sensors, actuators and transducers.
